We are building a network of neighbors and local groups who can respond quickly when help is needed. If you’d like to volunteer, here are the most immediate ways you can plug in and what to expect.
Volunteer roles we need
- Neighbor Responder — Provide short-term assistance (deliver groceries, check on seniors, small repairs). Shifts are flexible and geographically local.
- Logistics Coordinator — Help organize supplies, match volunteers to requests, and track inventory for distributions.
- Communications Support — Share alerts, maintain contact lists, and help with outreach to partners and recipients.
- Trainer/Mentor — Lead short, practical trainings on basic first aid, de-escalation, and safe volunteer practices.

Safety & training
- We run short orientation sessions (30–60 minutes) covering safety, privacy, and best practices.
- Volunteers will be asked to follow simple verification and check-in steps before responding to requests.
Time commitment
- Any time you can offer helps — from one-off shifts to ongoing team roles. We make it easy to opt in only for tasks that fit your availability.
Next steps for new volunteers
- Fill the sign-up form to tell us your interests and availability.
- Attend an orientation (we’ll email dates and sign-up links).
- Receive your first action alert and join a small response team.
